MANUFACTURING AND DELIVERY

MANUFACTURING & DELIVERY

At Magnetic and Controls transformer coils are impregnated with two complete vacuum pressure impregnation cycles. By deploying the latest manufacturing advances and leasing edge test methods we can build performance and reliability advantages into every transformer.

Magnetic and Controls had a manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This multi national strategy allows Magnetic and Controls the ability to shift products between plants as required to give customers key advantages in delivery schedules, flexible capacity management and balancing foreign content.

“QUALITY CONTROL AND CONTINOUAL IMPROVEMENT IS PART OF EVERYONE’S JOB”

Magnetic and Controls team have a passion for continuous improvement in all phases of design and manufacturing process in order to meet the requirements of a broad range of customers for even the most onerous of transformer application.

CORE CONSTRUCTION

Magnetic and Controls cores are manufactured from high grade non aging fully processed silicon steel lamination. Cores are precision cut to close tolerance using modern equipment to eliminate burr and optimize energy efficiency.

COIL CONSTRUCTION

Coils are either available in copper or aluminium construction. Coils are precision with continuous copper or aluminium conductors and are electrically balanced to minimize short circuit. The use of duct stick permits the flow of air this providing excellent cooling in addition to providing superior quality asexual mechanical strength.

INSULATION

High temperature resistant materials are used including nomex paper, nomex sleeving , duct sticks

CORE AND COIL ASSEMBLY

Coils are held rigid in place between insulators clamped to upper and lower choir frames under high compression. One way Magnetic and Controls ensures the integrity of core and coil assembly and quality hardware.

IMPREGNATION

A critical element of long term transformer performance is the long term integrity of dielectric properties properties of insulation materials. In order meet the designed life expectancies the transformer components must not be compromised during IMPREGNATION process.
