Quality Testing

Manufacturing Capability

With our robust infrastructure and technical expertise, Magnetic and Controls offers transformer manufacturing capabilities up to 5 MVA. Our facility is designed to handle diverse transformer configurations, including distribution transformers, isolation transformers, and specialized custom designs for industrial, commercial, and power quality applications.

Pressure Impregnation (VPI) Facility

At Magnetic and Controls, we utilize cutting-edge Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) technology to enhance the durability, insulation, and performance of transformer coils. Our VPI chamber ensures deep resin penetration into the windings, eliminating air pockets and improving dielectric strength, making our transformers highly reliable for demanding applications.

VPI Process at Magnetic and Controls

  1. Pre-Drying & Preparation:

    Coils are carefully dried to remove any residual moisture, ensuring optimal resin absorption.

  2. Vacuum Cycle:

    Coils are placed inside the VPI chamber, where a vacuum is applied to eliminate trapped air and gases within the insulation layers.

  3. Resin Impregnation:

    The chamber is filled with high-quality insulating resin, allowing it to penetrate deep into the coil windings under controlled conditions.

  4. Pressure Application:

    A positive pressure cycle is applied, ensuring uniform resin saturation and bonding within the coil structure.

  5. Curing & Final Processing:

    The impregnated coils are cured in an oven at precise temperatures, solidifying the resin for enhanced mechanical strength and thermal endurance.
